my review
of the
Iphone 4.
I have been waiting for a long time.
And yes I am very pleased. But to be honest. Going from the Ipod touch4 is not really a big step.
But it is sort of a dream come true for a gadget freak like me.

So I hope you understand why I will in some aspect compare the Iphone 4 to the Ipod touch 4.
Okey, here we go!
The first thing about the Iphone 4 is the package you get it in. A very nice but small box. Everything feels so exclusive (but personally i prefer the transparent glass box for the Ipod touch).
You get the headphones (will put them away) and use the in-ear headset that I bought for it.(I think considering the price tag they should have added it in the package).
You get a data transfer (and a plug) cable. No real instruction booklet, but I suppose that with the Iphone you don't really need any instructions.
The camera:
Compared to the Ipod touch, this is a real 5 mega pixel camera with autofocus. The 720p video function works great. I really recommend the app "HDR pro" for great pictures. Also the app "Camera+" for photo edit.
Usage of the Iphone
Consider that you can easily:
- check facebook,
- check your bank account,
- update your twitter,
- update your blog,
- edit photos and videos and then upload them,
- check when the next train comes,
- play greatly intuitive games,
- do drawings.
etc.etc.
Good parts
+ the camera is a plus, no doubt. Compared to the Ipod touch it is a real 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus.
+ the screen is superb. I love every invisible pixel of it.
+ the touch (multi touch) is one of a kind. Forget about all other phones. The Iphone simply has the best touch in the world!
+ the solid construction.
+ the apps are great. (nothing wrong with android however).
Bad parts
- Itunes is a terrible program, and there is no way to get away from it (except risking to brick it by changing the OS to something else).
- Wish there was a flip out keyboard on it.
- Bad ear phones included (why Apple? Why?)
- the glass construction (gives a quality feel, but glass is glass, you know what I mean?)
Conclusion:
In short, at the moment, considering the multi touch, the screen, the apps and the quality of the device, I will be bold and share the opinions of other Iphone owners, that this is the best cell phone in the world!
I like the HTC phones too, and the touch is good on HTC, but it is not as impressive as the Iphone. And that is just a fact we have to live with.
I want you to know, that I never liked Apple products in the past. But the technology of the Iphone/ipod touch is so superior to other gadgets, that I simply have to agree with the superiority of these gadgets.
Sony Ericsson and Nokia used to be awesome phones. But something happened. They sort of lost touch with innovation. And Samsung, I hate Samsung phones, but I loved their cameras.
With the Apple Iphone 4G I know what I get. It works, every part of it is solid.
Tweaking tips:
- get the invisible shield cover for the screen. Trust me, from experience, it will protect your phone and screen to perfection.
- Don't buy a metallic skin for your Iphone, buy a silicon based, since it will also protect against vibrations.
- Want more boost in the battery? But a skin cover with a battery, and it will make the battery time last twice as long. (will be a bit thicker however)
