for some unknown reason my article called Political forum was one of my most popular posts on this blog. I keep reading it and wonder why. Did I struck a cord or something?
Was I so funny prepositioning a perfect politic.
Or is it simply that people love to read articles about politics.
Why is politics such a important and interesting phenomenon?
Do people not see through the illusion of democracy?
Maybe there is something wrong with me.
But I just can't get inspired by people who promise so much just to get voted.
Perhaps the voting system is what makes politicians such sleazy characters.
Still, I guess they are all we have.
I suppose that if I would propose the idea to have a dictator instead of politicians, things would go more smoothly, people would stop reading this blog. So I suppose I won't do that. (and to be honest, I don't believe in dictatorship).
HOWEVER... and this is a big however.
People have suck tendencies to think of dictatorship as something awful, and they fully accept parliamentarism to the extent that they are convinced that this is a better solution, and I keep wondering if this is really the truth.
What about communists? Are they so much out of fashion, that if I would say something possitive about them, people would call me a red communist with no grasp of reality.
Well, that may be the case. I never said that I have a full grasp of reality. And to be honest, I have only met a hand full of real communists and ex communists, and all I can say is, that from those who I have met. They are just as much full of bs as democrats and republicans.
But I will tell you this. People need the extreme opinions, because that is the only way they will ever meet in a middle ground filled with a united feel that we as humans have to meet somewhere in the middle.
I don't believe or have seen any political program that I consider optimal for everyone. Even the ones who are (or claim) that they are in the middle of opinions, they seem so weak, that I don't think they can accomplish anything anyway.
But one thing is great about politics. It is exciting. People debating, thinking that they know it all, convinced that their argument and idea is the optimal one. And that is where I still wish that there was one politician who would be honest and simply say..
"look, I got a lot of ideas,
I have no idea and
no guarantee that any of those ideas will work,
but I do believe we should try them."
That is still the politician that I am waiting for.
And I am confident that he or she will show up any day now.
